Paavo Hanninen
Director Bio :
Paavo Hanninen is a writer and director in New Orleans, Louisiana. In 2018, his short film, Tourist, won the Hammer-to-Nail short film competition and played at Austin Film Festival, Sun Valley Film Festival, Oxford, and New Orleans film festivals. In 2021, his short film Ghost Girl premiered at Sun Valley Film Festival, and his other latest short, I Think I’m Dying, will have its world premiere on Shortoftheweek.com this June. His work has been featured on nobudge.com, shortoftheweek.com, directorsnotes.com, and Omeleto. Recently, his feature screenplay Remote View was named a finalist for the 2021 Almanack Screenwriters Nantucket Screenwriters Colony. Outside his own writing and directing, Paavo also works professionally in documentary film. The feature documentary The Neutral Ground for which Paavo served as Director of Photography premiered at the 2021 Tribeca Film Festival before playing POV on PBS in July.
