Director Statement :
Afghanistan is a traditional country and women are faced with many problems. there is much violence against women in society but most of the women receive violence and harassment in their home from their fathers, brothers and cannot raise their voice! because most people believe all-time women are sinful not men.
Director Bio :
Masood Eslami, was born on 1983 in Mazar e Sharif province- Afghanistan. He has attended in Asian film Academy in South Korea country 2014, and was filmmaking trainer in (Kabul- Mazar e Sharif- Qandahar- Herat- Bamiyan) in British Council project 2013-2015.
He has made some short films and documentary about women and human rights. his films awarded and screened in many national and internarial film festival.
Masood has made Laili, Life’s mirror, Swap, SMS and Maze short films that Swap got award and prize as best film in Women’s Voice Now Festival in American 2014 and best short film in Mehregan short film festival 2014, swap best film award in International Delhi film festival 1017.
Maze short film got best script award from International women film festival-Herat 2015 and best cinematographer in Human Right film festival 2015; He has made a long documentary by name Taqi Afghan Rocker; He directed a TV serial by name of Roya TV show (15 episodes); He directed a TV serial by name of Soldiers (15 episodes) and he directed clips for Ministry of interior; He was Assistant director in “inbetween worlds” long fiction Germany film,2013; He was project manager in Cinema Pamir documentary film directed by Martin von krogh, Swedish director. Recently he has made “Kabul Girls” feature film too.
